Sightlane

Terms of service

Last updated 12 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between Sightlane and the company that uses it. By creating an account or a company on Sightlane, you accept them on behalf of that company, and confirm you are allowed to.

Who we are

Sightlane is provided by Asad Abdullah, trading as Sightlane, an individual who is not (yet) a registered company (“Sightlane”, “we”). “You” means the company that uses Sightlane, and the people it invites.

The service

Sightlane is web software for planning and running trips: itineraries, days, drivers, vehicles, documents, readiness checks, driver and agency links, emails and reports. We may improve and change features over time; we will not remove something central to how you use it without telling you first.

Accounts

  • Keep sign in details private, and use two-factor login where you can.
  • Your company’s administrators decide who joins and what each role can do. You are responsible for the people you invite and what they do in your account.
  • Tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.

Free trial and price

New companies get a free trial of 14 days, with no card needed. After that, Sightlane costs EUR 20 per company per month, plus any tax that applies, with unlimited team members and roles. Paid plans are not yet open; until they are, we will tell you before any charge applies, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it first.

We may change the price for future periods with at least 30 days’ notice. You can cancel before a change takes effect.

Your data

Everything your company puts into Sightlane stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you. Our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms, sets out how we handle any personal data in it.

You are responsible for having the right to put that data into Sightlane, including telling passengers and drivers how their details are used, and for the accuracy of what you enter.

You can download all your company’s data at any time from Settings, and delete it.

Fair use

Do not use Sightlane to break the law, to send spam, to upload anything harmful, to try to reach other companies’ data, to overload or probe the service, or to copy it to build a competing product. Reasonable limits apply to features that cost us money or send email, such as the AI and invitations. We may suspend an account that puts the service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why.

Checks, AI and your judgement

Sightlane’s readiness score, conflict checks and driver hours checks are aids, not guarantees. Driver hours are worked out from your schedule, not from tachograph records, and do not replace your legal duties as an operator under EU Regulation 561/2006, working time rules or any other law. AI features can be wrong; always check what they produce before relying on it. Decisions about your trips, drivers and passengers remain yours.

Availability

We work to keep Sightlane available and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is, without a guaranteed uptime. Planned maintenance will be kept short and, where possible, announced.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Otherwise, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, and Sightlane’s total liability in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the fees you paid in those 12 months and EUR 100.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Sightlane at any time, and delete your company in Settings. We may end this agreement with 30 days’ notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms. When it ends, you can download your data for 30 days, unless you deleted it yourself; after that it is deleted.

Changes to these terms

We will give at least 30 days’ notice of changes that affect you, by email or in the app. If you do not agree, you can stop using Sightlane before they take effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection the law of your own country gives you.
